THE AIM OF THE PAPER
The aim of our research is to analyse the publications in the field of digital transformation and project management using the methodology of systematic literature review. Exploration of the relationships will allow one to get to know the most relevant literature, researchers, and recent trends in the field. Our research was conducted following the PRISMA principles, whereby, in addition to examining the title and abstract, we also reviewed the entire literature in order to select the most relevant literature.
METHODOLOGY
In our study, we reviewed the relevant literatures in the field of project management and digitalisation from 2018-2023 using the systematic literature review (SLR) method. We analysed data from the Scopus and Web of Science databases to identify temporal trends, correlations between topics, authors and working groups, and text mining topical analysis.
MOST IMPORTANT RESULTS
We found that the topic is of highly importance and that research networks are starting to emerge, mainly linked to countries at the forefront of digitalization. The keyword analysis of the articles revealed the occurrence of the terms "change management", "organisational change" and "agility", which was extended by a text mining analysis based on abstracts, with further, more detailed research directions. The resulting 7 topics were assigned a total of 14 literature sources, those that were found to be the most relevant based on reading the full text.
RECOMMENDATIONS
The paper demonstrates that a systematic literature search provides an accurate and structured approach to obtain more reliable and credible results on the topic being investigated. One can discover prominent authors on the topic, their research venues, and international collaborations, as well as areas of research that had not been initially anticipated as a link. Furthermore, we describe research methods that can be used to map the relationships between keywords more easily, such as network mapping with VOSviewer or topic analysis using text mining tools.
