Abstract

The supply chain of content industry in the digital era can become extremely simplified. At the same time a number of new actors appear on the market with slightly differing motivations and control over content also significantly decreases. Even though digital content distribution has become unavoidable for the industry, traditional actors reacted defensively and slowly, resulting in the rise of alternative media content consumption. New business models must primarily take into consideration changes in consumer behavior in order to achieve a long-term sustainability.
