Abstract

The power generation technologies are among others the sustainable components of building investments. This paper investigates the most commonly used financial valuation method, the life cycle cost analysis, with the aim of highlighting the parallels and differences between traditional and renewable technologies. With the analysis of 18 power generation technologies my aim is to prove that the method is capable of identifying the sustainable solutions.
