Organisation development and professionalization in organisations of non-profit sector in Hungary

Abstract

Paper first provides insight into theoretical issues regarding the professionalization of nonprofit sector organizations, and following that gives an analysis of a large sample research that was carried out in Hungary. Statically proved findings of the survey show that professionalization in the sector is improving. But there are still two extremes existing together, unprofessional volunteer organizations and organizations and people (working for them) possessing high level of knowledge and professionalism.
