The analysis of the relationship between different industries of the economy and regional economics have already been interconnected since the 1950s-1960s. In Hungary the literature of regional multisectoral researches is still insufficient. Because the CSO publishes only national input-output tables, the basis of spatial analysis, the regional input-output table is not available. The international literature became aware of this problem soon. Thus in the last 60 years several alternative methods have been developed for estimating regional tables. In this paper our goal is to describe the methods involved in creating the Hungarian county-level input-output tables and introduce the experiences of spatial simulations using the generated input-output table.
