How to build models in project portfolio management

Abstract

The IT tools supporting project portfolio management have become obtainable and also been spread widely, however some of their processes are to be significantly improved and clarified. This article explains the project and project portfolio management concept, and based on the new opportunities in information technology, an up-to-date project selection method and a project portfolio management procedure integrating this method are presented.
