A narcizmus és a vállalkozói siker kapcsolata: A túlzott és kényszeres munkavégzés közvetítő szerepe

Absztrakt

A TANULMÁNY CÉLJA

A tanulmány annak a szakirodalomban folyamatosan jelenlévő kérdésnek a megértéséhez kíván hozzájárulni, hogy mitől lesz egy vállalkozó sikeres. A szubklinikai narcizmus, mint személyiségvonás és a vállalkozói teljesítmény pozitív összefüggése mögött álló okok megértése érdekében megvizsgáljuk, hogy a túlzott és kényszeres munkavégzés miért és hogyan közvetíti a szubklinikai narcizmus hatását a vállalkozói teljesítményre.

ALKALMAZOTT MÓDSZERTAN

A Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students’ Survey 659 saját vállalkozással rendelkező egyetemi hallgatójának adatait elemezve mediációs modell alkalmazásával értékeljük négy változó, a vállalkozói teljesítmény, a szubklinikai narcizmus, valamint a túlzott- és kényszeres munkavégzés összefüggéseit.

LEGFONTOSABB EREDMÉNYEK

A magasabb szubklinikai narcizmusértékkel jellemezhető vállalkozók általában magasabb vállalkozói teljesítményt érnek el. Ennek oka részben az, hogy a siker és hatalom iránti vágyukat a vállalkozói kiválóság kielégítheti, és ezért a vállalkozói siker érdekében komoly erőfeszítéseket hajlandóak tenni. Eredményeink rávilágítanak arra, hogy mind a túlmunka, mind a kényszeres munka részben közvetíti a narcizmus pozitív hatását a vállalkozói sikerre.

GYAKORLATI JAVASLATOK

A szubklinikai narcizmus vállalkozói kontextusban előnyös személyiségjegy. Ugyanakkor a szubklinikai narcizmus skálán magasabb pontszámot elérő egyének számára kiemelten fontos lehet a mentálhigiénés támogatás, hogy a túlzott és kényszeres munka ne vezessen a kiégéshez és magánéleti problémákhoz, és így a vállalkozói célok hosszú távon is fenntartható módon lehessenek elérhetők.
