As volunteers of the Friends of Tanzania Foundation, we had the rare fortune of being able to study Swahili in Zanzibar as students of TAKILUKI (Taasisi ya Kiswahili na Lugha za Kigeni, i.e., the Institute of Swahili and Foreign Languages). To our knowledge, we were the first students from Hungary.
