In this present issue, we reflect on the relationship between the history of science, university history writing, and the higher education institution which kinds of historical roles played in the production of science. The studies deal with the theoretical issues of the phenomena of peregrination and knowledge transfer, the linguistic analysis of ancient astronomical sources, or the detection and interpretation of epidemic and mental diseases, but we can get acquainted with the scientific historical background of the creation of Bohr’s atomic model, and the carriers of several outstanding scientists like Mihály Polányi, Soma Beck and Gyula Prinz.
