The information technology plays a crucial role in enabling elderly people to actively participate in (public) life. The information society reallocates the access to and the accessibility of social resources, information and services. The research aims to reveal the relationship of the digital natives and the nomads as it is today and how the representatives of the two sides perceive this connection. The aim of the qualitative (I. part) - quantitative (II. part) research is to find out whether the old saying: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime” continues to work in this area as well. What the techniques that support successful fishing are, where help comes from.
