Abstract

Most Hungarians are not familiar with the name Western Sahara, nor Western Sahara, and only a few have a vague memory of the name Spanish Sahara from their history studies. As a doctoral student at the Zrínyi Miklós National Defense University, I examine the aspects of the Western Sahara issue (its impact on Europe, including our country, in economic, political, security policy, and other areas) and the activities of the UN-led peacekeeping mission (MINURSO).
