A Ghanaian proverb says that a woman is a flower in the garden, and a man is the fence around her that protects her. According to ancient African traditions, a woman is nothing more than the fire that holds the family together. In some ancient cultures, for example, the weaker sex was responsible for practising spirituality, which included prayers for healing, luck, and successful battles.
