In our study, we tried to assess the future challenges and trends of tourism by interviewing
entrepreneurs and employees of the South Transdanubian region involved in tourism activities.
Accordingly, in the framework of the GINOP-5.3.5-18-2019-00104 project, we conducted a
questionnaire survey in the autumn of 2020 among the managers and employees of tourism-related
companies in the South Transdanubian Region, in which we asked about the operational challenges
of the companies and their opinions on the future of domestic and international tourism. The
questionnaire was based on a total of 20 groups of questions, asking about the profile of the
company and the main areas affecting tourism today and in the future. This study presents the
responses to our questionnaire of the representatives of the 200 tourism-related companies in South
Transdanubia that we contacted.
