Abstract

In our article, we mainly consider the recent backwardness of Sub-Saharan Africa, which covers approximately two-thirds of the African continent, and the possible effects of internal and external factors determining its future position, partly by extrapolating past trends and partly by outlining new phenomena that may fundamentally influence Africa's much-desired improvement in position and the threat of halting its backwardness.
