Proposals to revise the Hungarian administrative legal requirements for autonomous vehicles

The aim of the study is to review the requirements of the Hungarian administrative law governing the use of autonomous vehicles and to make suggestions on how these could be modified in the future to ensure the legal use of autonomous vehicles while maintaining road safety.
The regulatory proposals made in the study are also strongly linked to the issue of the digitalisation of public administration, as it examines and proposes the necessary improvements to the administrative measures, databases and interfaces for the management of autonomous vehicles and the exercise of public control, which could typically solve the problems identified in the research through digitalised administration and case management.
