Integrated Europe's Policy Towards Africa in the 21st Century and its History

Abstract

The European Union's new Africa Strategy was finalized in December 2007. The author traces the history of the integration process of African countries, the European role and encouragement shown in this regard, and the future possibilities for cooperation between the two communities, with particular regard to the issues of economic and infrastructural development, the protection of human rights, the establishment of just and stable governance, support for the civil sector, and the establishment of peace and security.
