Zsolt Varsányi entered the reserve officer training school on September 3, 1973, which he completed with a red diploma and the rank of lieutenant. In 1975, he entered the Police Officers' College, where he graduated in criminal law, and then served in his first position at the Institute of Criminal Investigation as an apprentice, forensic expert, and forensic expert. The peak of his expert career was the position of laboratory manager, from where he was sent to Namibia in 1989. After returning home, he continued his career at the Institute of Criminal Investigation until 2001. From there, he went to the UN mission in Cambodia (1992-93), then to the UN mission in Mozambique (1994-95), and finally to the UN mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina (1999-2000). In recognition of his experience in this field, he was appointed to the Personnel Department of the Ministry of the Interior in 2001, where he works as a coordinator of law enforcement missions and deals with police officers serving in operations.
