Abstract

The younger audiences are at the same time radio listeners and they are preparing their own music lists, podcasts, they are downloading music from the internet. We have examined the platform usage and perception of new music and radio technologies among the 15-39 audience. The results show that the members of this audience are also regular radio listeners, but in the usage of the platforms they are very much segmented. They find the online radio listening possibility attractive. Regarding the content they find music very important and prefer the more personalized music however they do not expect the radio channels to disappear. We did not found differences between the materialistic consumer values of the new, PC platform users and non users.
