The Bálint Balassi Memorial Sword has Reached Africa

For the sixteenth time, the writers were awarded the commemorative sword named after our polyglot poetic giant. Every year, the board of trustees awards a deserving Hungarian poet, one whose lyrics and literary work it considers worthy of the 16th-century Hungarian poet's oeuvre. In addition, a non-domestic literary figure or translator who does a lot to popularize Hungarian literature abroad will also receive the award. This year, as the fourth continent, a copy of the artistic replica of the border sabre will also be sent to Africa, as Gabriel Zanmaku Olembe, who lives in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, received the award.
