Abstract

Situated in the south of Baranya County, Ormánság is one of the regions which has to face the most severe problems in Hungary, such as segregation manifested at a regional level. The current study examines the social life of villages and community collaboration in Ormánság, based on the literature about the history of the region, and on interviews with key figures of the villages.
