Abstract

With Istanbul (Turkey) and the Ruhr-region (Germany) Pécs is one of the European Capitals of Culture in 2010. Many of the cultural programmes convey the messages of community development: the special experiences of community participation and joint actions, and reconstructive power inherent in collaboration and co-evolution. ECoC projects are a special opportunity for university students to participate in community development programmes.
