Abstract

The hospital social worker operates within the framework of the healthcare system. Their client is the patient, and the setting for the helping process is one of the patient care units. As a practicing professional, my aim with this article is to present this field of practice, share my experiences, offer reflections, and contribute to raising awareness of our profession.
