Abstract

The paper describes recovering addicts’ community in a rehabilitation facility as an interpretive community. The author argues for the conceptual triad of „helping community”, „interpretive community” and “symbolic community”, understanding these as stages of a linear recovery process. Possible consequences of the continous, shared practice of hyper-reflection are also addressed.
