Abstract

In this study we discuss homelessness in the United States, Florida and in particular Leon County home of Florida’s capital, Tallahassee. We describe the various applied definitions of homelessness and review the changing demographics and statistics of the problem over time. Finally we detail an innovative approach (a consensus originated and run one-stop shop comprehensive emergency service center platform) being used in Tallahassee.
