Abstract

The author reflects on the different approaches and current status of
evaluation research. She claims that the introduction of complex,
independent evaluation does not only contribute to developing
practitioners’ programmes but might have broad social benefits.
Identifying and communicating stakeholders’ perspectives may facilitate
social dialogue and resolve conflicts. The Trident model, as a possible
means to these ends, is analyzed.
