Policy background of the operation of drug rehabilitation institutes in Hungary. A historical overview

Abstract

The study examines the appearance of the topic of drug rehabilitation based on the relevant strategic drug policy documents. After the overview of the decisive policy papers of the period before the change of regime and the 1990s, we focus on the rehabilitation-related parts and evaluation of the Hungarian National Strategy to Combat Drugs of 2000. We give an overview of the goals connected to drug rehabilitation of the national drug strategies of 2009 and 2013.
