The professional socialization of József Venczel began with his high school years, where he started to develop his uncommon sensitivity to social problems, paired with a Catholic world-view. His later studies, his participation in the Transylvanian Youth movement, the collaboration with the Gusti school, and the founding of the journal Hitel took him closer to the fulfillment of his goal: helping the village through a program of social and cultural policies, based on social research.
