Autonomy and Responsibility Journal of Educational Sciences

The journal aims to provide dialogue for researchers, developers, and educators working in practice across five scientific horizons. These horizontal themes include the following:

  • autonomous and responsible participation and capacity to act
  • dialogue and cooperation
  • valuing diversity
  • the development of a multi-perspective vision
  • an inclusive pedagogical and educational environment

Multiperspectivity in Educational Sciences

The multiperspective approach is inherently a framework within the transdisciplinary field of educational sciences. One dimension of our topic is precisely how different scientific disciplines complement each other to create an inclusive, effective educational environment for all learners. How do the results from various scientific fields support the validity of approaches based on dialogue, cooperation, and interactive participation compared to traditional transmission-based teaching practices?

The next approach is the historical-comparative field within the educational sciences. What can we learn about diversity, intercultural dialogue, and mutual influence, and what are the unique cultural values that, when understood, can further enrich the results of scientific inquiry? How does historical multiperspectivity and comparison support extending equal access to the benefits of a democratic society and social progress that can be acquired through learning?

One of the scientifically most apparent areas is the field of diversity. How can researchers examine the dimensions of multiperspectivity in the context of diversity? How can a pedagogical environment rooted in the benefits of diversity, supported by science, help advance social coexistence based on collaboration, inclusion, and mutual understanding in schools and human communities?

The phenomenon of diversity aids in comprehending and processing scientific transformation, gaining a more spectrum-like, nuanced understanding compared to simple categorization. This is particularly relevant in areas such as the neurodiverse human intellect, the broad spectrum of cognitive abilities, the complex system of emotional intelligence, the multifaceted nature of personal identity, and the multifactorial intersectionality of social backgrounds and disadvantages.

We welcome articles from various genres in the field of educational science. These may range from comparative historical educational studies to writings that compare educational systems and practices. We accept case studies, action research, as well as experimental and methodological research. Beyond the mentioned research dimensions, we also encourage the presentation of new aspects that align with the Aims & Scope of the journal, as outlined in the description above.
