Abstract

The tragedy of Mohamed Bouazizi sparked protests not only in Tunisia but across the Arab world. The young fruit vendor set himself on fire on December 19, 2010. Many young men in Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Algeria, Syria and Morocco followed suit.
