Abstract

In many cases, the stakeholders of circular economy model face serious challenges in
interpreting concepts, formulating concrete goals, translating them into everyday practice and
making the results achieved measurable. All this requires new approaches.
However, our extensive data collection shows that a number of organisations have recognised
the benefits of a circular approach to resource use and have successfully implemented the model
change. We believe that it is important to raise awareness in all segments of the domestic
business sector of the direction and scale of change that will be required to meet the expectations
of the model shift.
Following the theoretical background to the circular economy, the aim of this paper is to present
and evaluate good practices that can be of inspiration to people living and working in rural areas.
The aim is to identify, through the process of model change, those practice that have been proven
and consistently outperform other methods of achieving the goal of circular economy model
change.
