Abstract

The study will be presented investigation of special connection points between cultural and barrierfree
tourism. Museums have an important role to keep and demonstrate cultural values and transfer
cultural knowledge.
In this case, an examination will be covered through an example of a local history museum about
how it can correspond to cultural and barrier-free tourism’s conditions beside the responsibility of
knowledge transfer. Wosinsky Mór’s County Museum in Szekszárd is one of the biggest but not
the most visited museum in Tolna county. We have reviewed the museum's target groups,
attendance, accessibility rate of content and communication. The museum’s historical building is
not prosperous for physical accessibility. The communication and content deficiencies are largely
due to lack of financial resources. The museum is able to provide a funny learning experience to
barrier-free tourism’s target group by using already completed parts, together with a visitor friendly
attitude.
