Abstract

The Suleyman Turbe in Szigetvár is a historical monument with exceptional features, the aim of
the study is to present the planned investment of the Cultural-Touristic Center. Cultural and tourism
peculiarities significantly influence the realization of such projects. One of the most important
conditions for the implementation is the integration into the existing cultural heritage plans and the
proper management of the related uncertainties.
In addition to the tourism characteristics of the investment in Baranya County, in the analysis
created using the project management toolkit the emphasis is on risk management. Many factors
influence the feasibility, and a well-founded decision requires their listing, categorization and
description of the mitigation strategies that can be linked to them.
The most significant risks and their management: Emergence of Turkish influence: Turkish-
Hungarian consultation, intensive consultation with TIKA. Problems related to expropriation:
preventive communication, cultivating good relations. Delay in project implementation:
professional lobbying, preparation of scenarios. The objective of the article to introduce the project
plan as a model of a sophisticated, trans-national heritage management cooperation
