Vol. 3 (2020): Border - Alteration - Transition
The theme of the third volume of Pontesis linked to the 2020 anniversary of the treaty of Trianon after world war I in 1920. the organizing principle of the essays selected for the Yearbook is the question of the characteristics and effects of border changes. Our aim is not primarily to trace the history of the Trianon border demarcations - although two authors reflect on this topic in particular - but to examine the question of borders in general across historical periods, from the Middle Ages to the end of the 20th century. The papers in the volume are primarily the results of research by colleagues at the Institute of History of the University of Pécs, as the mission of our Yearbook is to present the results of local research in a broad sense.
