Abstract

In public opinion, misconceptions and misunderstandings about migration trends in Hungary are quite common, particularly regarding the scale of immigration. The article summarises the trends observed in European Union countries, specifically focusing on the number and distribution of immigrants from third countries. The research aims to explore the circumstances and motivations of African immigrants and to inform the general public about the relevant facts and migration trends.
