Abstract

The online version of the Hungarian Journal of African Studies was launched in 2008 with the creation of a website that strives to provide up-to-date scientific and popular content, aiming to offer a balanced and stereotype-free picture of the diversity of the African continent. The platform covers political, historical, cultural, and environmental topics, supported by interactive tools such as videos, puzzles, and an archive of documents to aid understanding.
Its goal is to convey a reality-based image of Africa and to encourage scientific and community discourse. It contributes through country profiles, portraits, and reports on civil initiatives, fostering connections between Hungarian Africanists and lay audiences.
