A KISÚJSZÁLLÁSI RIZSFÖLDEK: LEHETSÉGES ÚJ SZEREPLŐ A HAZAI ÖKOTURIZMUS TERÜLETÉN (?)
Keywords:

In a global sense – thus in Hungarian relations –, ecotourism refers to a more and more increasing, more promising
space specific tourism product. Observing nature, for example, is a profitable tourism segment in the developed world.
Yet Hungary somehow is a little bit lagging behind, despite all its favourable aspects and advantages.
The extensive rice fields of Kisújszállás, a typical country town in the Great Hungarian Plain, represent major
secondary wetland habitats. Due to their unique birdlife they can offer an ideal – although environmentally sensible
and therefore increased protectable – place for creating, promoting and utilising birdlife-watching as a product in
tourism supply in the long-run, together with combining it with other products, thus giving an impetus to the
development of local tourism (and of the quality of life of the local inhabitants as well) in the middle and long term
run.
