Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- I have not published the article elsewhere online or offline and have not submitted it to another journal at the same time. (Reproduced manuscripts prepared for a conference presentation or, in the case of a publication in Hungarian, articles previously published in a foreign language are not considered to be pre-publications.)
- I know the journal’s Statement on Publication Ethics, and my submission complies with it.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- The format of the submission is Microsoft Word (*.doc, *.docx), *.rtf or *.txt.
- Figures are uploaded as supplementary files.
Studies
In the Studies section, we publish scientific, in-depth and analytical articles or case studies on the theme of the current issue or other topics related to education, university and cultural history.
Műhely
In the Communications section, we publish scientific and analytical articles, case studies, source publications, research or conference reports on the theme of the current issue or other topics related to education, university and cultural history.
Retrospective
In the Retrospect section, we publish interviews and recollections of the lives and careers of university professors of the University of Pécs who have had exceptional careers, as well as of prominent personalities who have shaped the life of the institution.
Review
In the Review section, we publish reviews of books on education, university or cultural history, published in Hungarian or foreign languages no more than five years ago.
Privacy Statement
The data collected from registered and non-registered users of this journal falls within the scope of the standard functioning of peer-reviewed journals. It includes information that makes communication possible for the editorial process; it is used to inform readers about the authorship and editing of content; it enables collecting aggregated data on readership behaviours.
Those involved in editing this journal seek to be compliant with industry standards for data privacy, including the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provision for “data subject rights”. The GDPR also allows for the recognition of “the public interest in the availability of the data,” which has a particular saliency for those involved in maintaining the public record of scholarly publishing.
As a user, you can set which notifications you want to receive. Log in to your user account; select View Profile and then the Notifications tab.
When the website is visited, a cookie called "OJSSID" is created and stored on the user's computer. The user can access their cookie settings and cookies from their computer's browser program. A database of visitors to the website is kept with their IP address and browser programme information. This information is deleted from the database when the browser is closed.
