FIATAL FELNŐTTEK MÚZEUMLÁTOGATÁSI ATTITŰDJE A SZEKSZÁRDI VÁRMEGYEHÁZA PÉLDÁJÁN

Abstract

Local History Museums, as attractions, have a great role in introducing the history of a given settlement or
region to the local people as well as to the tourists. With the changing trends in tourism and the changing
needs of tourists the museums should leave their earlier, passive role of value preservation and should
promote the interactive, experience oriented knowledge transfer. Besides tourism experts, teachers (from
kindergarten through grammar school to high school) should also take a role in the popularization of local
history museums and the youth should experience the rich and innovative world of museums within the
frames of organized youth tourism.
