Abstract

The paper is a short contribution to the history of the nature of papal legations in Hungary in the 1220’s. The main aim of the study is to introduce the three papal envoys (magister Acontius, archbishop Robert of Esztergom and magister Aegidius) of the selected periode (1219–1232), and to identify the common phenomena and the distinctions of their papal mandates and actions.
