The old-new clothes of project pedagogy - a new methodology for developing foreign language learning in learning difficulties and dyslexia. The present article delineates the applied, educational advantages of the project method, through the description of the necessary phases and elements of projects. The project method is rooted in reform pedagogical movements, but it is in a state of revival and rebirth in today’s educational sciences. Interdisciplinarity, collaboration, the integration of different cultures and thus the improvement of intercultural communication are advantages of the project method, which makes it especially efficient for ESL teaching, language learning and for the internalization of cultural knowledge. We also shed light on cognitive gains and beyond these, on the fruitful effects of the project method on the reciprocal collaboration between participants. The
practical ideas and plans in the article provide valuable examples for future projects and a compass for new directions in language teaching and learning in elementary school.
