Abstract

This review offers my personal insight into teaching Hungarian to preschoolers using a picture book originally
designed for Hungarian-speaking children and used primarily in speech and language therapy. The book is called 'I can speak'; and it was published in Budapest in 2021 by Tiborné Bittera and Ágnes Juhász Bittera, PhD. The 120 page-long picture book is supplemented by a handbook with lots of great ideas, tips and playful exercises – together, they provide an excellent guideline for teaching preschool children Hungarian.
