Antal Sivirsky was a literary historian, a translator, and a teacher of the Dutch language. He was of Hungarian origin, but he spent his adult life in the Netherlands. He promoted Hungarian−Dutch cultural relations. This study explores the appearance and reception of Hungarian culture in the Netherlands from the 19th century through Sivirsky’s works.
