Dolce Vita – The Questions of a Safe Railway Journey to Italy

Abstract

An abroad holiday already starts during the journey. We get our first experiences on the way there, so if we choose public transport, it can be a priority for transport companies to make sure that getting to a country is hassle-free, as this can be a prerequisite for reaching other destinations in a similar way. On this basis, in our primary, questionnaire-based survey, we assessed rail passengers’ safety needs and their favourite destinations. In this article, we present the results of the survey and use them to identify the safety expectations of a railway company that wants to take care of its passengers. So, let’s head to Italy to experience the dolce vita!
