Abstract

The concept of sustainable development is more and more popular. In tourism, and particularly in health
tourism, it is important to create value along with the principles of sustainability. Health tourism and its
essential service providers, the medical hotels, offer their services by relying heavily on the pillars of
sustainability (economic, social, natural).
The goal of the respresentative research (based on the quality of hotels) is to examine the results achieved
by the medical hotels in terms of sustainability and to assess and systematize their attitude towards
sustainability. The results are positive, but there is a general lack of a real sustainable way of thinking
