Abstract

The revival of Elias Corvinus.

The acts of the two famous Hunyadis, János(John), the prominent fighter against the Turks and his son, Mátyás (Matthias King from 1458 to 1490) were described by several literary works throughout Europe. These works abound in references to the antique literature. The autor's aim is to present some references and reminiscences related to the antique Roman literature that can be detected in Elias Corvinus' (1537-1602) work.
