Abstract

The following essay is part of the first series of articles in the Filmszem section.
These texts were written in response to a call we sent out to several figures of the contemporary Hungarian leftist scene who are engaged with film and/or culture.
Among those invited were teachers and students, artists and researchers, public figures and film professionals — as well as people who, in our view, do not particularly like or even feel somewhat averse to films.
