Abstract

According to classical two-valued logic, our statements can be true or false. However, for example, in economics and social science, many events cannot be accurately described by this concept. One possible solution to this problem could be using soft computing methods, particularly fuzzy logic. This paper demonstrates the economic applicability of fuzzy inference systems through a detailed example. The study was aimed at targeting a marketing campaign based on historical data. A decision model with multiple inputs and one output was created, in which both qualitative and quantitative variables were considered. A detailed analysis of the results and evaluation confirms that the fuzzy method can effectively model consumer decisions, considering various factors.
