The history of the Hungarian censuses in the light of the process of civilization

This paper presents the development of the Hungarian censuses in a sketchy and introductory form through the paradigm of the figurational and processes theory. In the early phase, the censuses were imprecise, mathematically nondescriptive
and there was no specialised layer for this function. As the monopolies of power and the cognitive nature of knowledge forms increased and early statistical layers developed in line with this, more extensive and accurate censuses were produced.
