About the Journal

We are pleased to recommend the first issue of the electronic journal of the Márkus Dezső Comparative Legal History Research Group to the dear readers. Luckily, the number of electronically accessible legal periodicals in our country has increased recently. The periodical Δίκη – Díké of the Márkus Dezső Comparative Legal History Research Group intends to provide a publication forum primarily, but not exclusively for comparative research. The Research Group, beside to exploring the common roots and values of the European legal culture, is also open to other disciplines related to comparative law, which can be seen by the foregoing scientific events of the Research Group. In the terms of openness and cooperation, the journal cordially provides publication opportunities for the studies of Hungarian and foreign researchers, lecturers and doctoral students.

According to the Greek mythology, Δίκη – Díké, the daughter of Zeus and Themis is the goddess of justice. The Márkus Dezső Comparative Legal History Research Group is determined to contribute to the development of legal sciences as well as the co-sciences through the unceasing search for scientific truth and justice.
