Abstract

The essay deals with the large number of documentaries produced by liberal media outlets in Hungary in recent years. In his interpretation, it suggests that these contents should be understood in the context of the struggle for hegemony between political-historical blocs. As political tools that give their audience the experience of “The opposition”. For this reason, it considers it more appropriate to refer to this content as “identity videos” rather than documentaries. In analysing a video, it points out how problematic it is to interpret Hungarian political discourse within an ethical framework.
